Outreach

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth”   1 John 3:18

The Outreach effort at St. Paul’s goes beyond Evangelism as parish members participate in a variety of community-building activities and services.

  • Monthly food collection for Harbor House, a local women’s shelter
  • Monthly packing of food for Blessings in a Backpack, a ministry that provides 250 needy school children with food over the weekend.  Blessings was created by the River Valley Clergy Alliance. This clergy alliance, consisting of many Christian denominations, was initially organized by our Rector Fr. Israel Anchan after Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Our Rector, Fr. Anchan,  was the founding president for four years.
  • Rummage Sale of clothing and supplies for infants and young children, kitchen items, clothing for adults, books and other items, all at reasonable prices. The money we collect from the Rummage Sale will be utilized for children’s and Latino ministry at St. Paul’s Church.
