“If the whole body were an eye,” Paul asks “Where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be”   (1 Corinthians 12:17-18)

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is an active, vibrant community that offers activities and opportunities for involvement to people of all ages.  We are blessed to have a group of people that generously dedicate their talents and time.  Everyone has an area of expertise that can benefit St. Paul’s ministry and mission.  Some work behind the scenes, maintaining the church’s finances, clerical work, or its building and grounds.  Others delight in serving at/on the altar during mass, singing in the choir, administering the wine during communion or serving as acolytes.  Still others help outside the church doors with various community projects in which St. Paul’s is involved; and yet others are involved with stewardship and fundraising efforts.

The Mission of the Church:

“Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”  Mark 16:15

“…to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked and give support to the sick.”   Matthew 25:35-40

St. Paul’s mission is to reach people through the gospel message with love and compassion. In this we grow in our faith in Christ through worship , fellowship, prayer, and outreach– all ways we can draw ourselves closer to Christ.

However, our duties as Christians don’t end just with ourselves. We believe strongly in the importance of reaching out to others as we are called to do by   Christ.   Everything we have in life is a gift from God, and each of our gifts – whether they be of time, talents or earthly possessions – we possess to share with others.
